CRB Update - Registration to the Vetting and Barring Scheme has been halted as part of the Coalition Government's review. Changes to the scheme will be implemented via the Protection of Freedoms Bill. However, the ISA's barring responsibilities which were introduced in October 2009 are still in force. However, the proposals require new legislation, and, until that comes in to force, it is very important that current practices regarding the requirements for Criminal Records Bureau checks and the Independent Safeguarding Authority are maintained.
Safer Programme Extended Training has been launched. For more information about this training see flyer.
